Hi Friends Family! | Weekly Update 9-27-26

Hello Friends!

We had a great Sunday last week, remembering that it is by grace we are saved through faith! We were challenged to remember that this life we have been given doesn’t come through church attendance or through saying special words at exactly the right time in exactly the right way. The life Christ gives us is a gift of grace—dead people made alive! Wow!

Tomorrow, we’ll study together the great, big, beautiful reality that God has included us in His family. We are part of the family tree! Just when we might be tempted to think the Old Testament is old, distant, or something we will always struggle to see as relevant, passages like Ephesians 2:11–22 remind us that the Old Testament is, in fact, part of our history. The story of God’s people is the story we have been brought into through Jesus. We were once far off, but now we have been brought near. That makes the Old Testament far more than background information. It helps us understand the family we now belong to, the promises God has fulfilled, and just how remarkable it is that, through Christ, we have been welcomed in. We get to come home!

Let's pray for each other to grasp how high and wide and long and deep God's love is for us and that we will seize the opportunities God gives us to help others know that too.
