Hi Friends Family! | Weekly Update 8-23-26

Hello Friends!

Goodness, was that rain crazy this week! We had a stream running through our field! That has never happened! Let's pray for all those affected by this weather.

Discipleship Pathway Classes are open for registration!

We are excited to offer 3 classes on Sundays at 9:30am (and one of them is for our high schoolers!). Amy, but why at 9:30? I'm glad you asked. If you attend that service, you understand that it gets tight in there. This is one way to alleviate that pressure a bit. Remember, our classes only run for 8 weeks, so you can return when they are completed. But, you never know, you might find a new habit and a new friend by trying something new :) New isn't bad. And our God is in the business of making all things new! I sure want to be a part of whatever that is!
We will also have 4 classes on Wednesday at 6:00pm and AWANA & Youth will be at 6:00pm as well.

This is a big part of what we do here at Friends: educating ourselves and our community in God's Truth. Biblical literacy is imperative to keep us rooted in truth so that we aren't blown about by every wind of doctrine and continue growing up into the wisdom of Jesus, as Paul calls us to in Ephesians 4.

Which class will you sign-up for? And if none of the classes are quite what you're looking for, come serve with us. I can tell you one thing; I've gained more than I could imagine from jumping in to serve all these years. I have loved my classes, but laboring so others can discover how amazing Jesus really is - there's just nothing like it.

Baptism! Next Sunday, August 30th at 10:00am in the FLC. We will also have a traditional service at 8:00am in the FLC due to work in the sanctuary at that time.
