## Hello Friends!

The countdown to back-to-school is upon us!

Routines & homework, packing lunches & carpooling, firsts & lasts, long days & short years. Parents, we see you working hard to do the best for your kiddos, and we celebrate the love and commitment you give them each day.

How can we pray for you as a new school year begins? Feel free to reply to this email. We would love to pray for you and your family.

With fall right around the corner, Awana will start again soon! We had an amazing inaugural year, serving so many kids from age 3 through 5th grade.

So, what is Awana?

The name comes from [2 Timothy 2:15](https://www.biblegateway.com/verse/en/2%20Timothy%202%3A15): “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.” For more than 70 years, Awana has partnered with local churches to help children know, love, and serve Jesus through Scripture-centered discipleship.

As we continue building an intentional pathway of discipleship from birth through the golden years, Awana is an important part of that plan for our kids. And, it takes a big team to do it well. Would you consider stepping up to join our team, becoming part of the biblical legacy of one generation telling the next of God’s mighty works? [Pastor Jeremy](sms:17406930774?&body=I'm%20interested%20in%20more%20information%20about%20Awana.) and [Evan Gibson](mailto:egibson@erfriends.com), our new Awana Director, would be glad to answer any questions.

What a privilege it is to make disciples together and love these little ones like Jesus. Thank you for your continued prayer for our church to love God and love people until the whole valley knows.

See you Sunday,

Amy & Your Friends Church Staff Team
