Hello Friends Family!
Happy Father's Day! (on Sunday)
A shout-out to all the dads out there working hard at all the things - present dads, attentive husbands, valuable workers, and co-laborers for Jesus. We see you and celebrate you! And to all of our men who are father-figures in so many ways - thank you. You matter, and we love and appreciate you!
Dad Camp is tonight into tomorrow morning. Will you pray for all those attending? We are thankful for this time for these men to spend an intentional evening focusing on their relationships with their kids.
And VBS starts Monday! Will you also pray for our VBS team and the kiddos they will be serving? You'll find some ideas for prayer in the bulletin (click the button below or pick up one on Sunday).
As we move through Colossians Chapter 1, we are getting a clearer understanding of who Jesus is and how this impacts our lives. We aren't going through some religious activity for some vague absolution at the end of our lives. We are beloved kids, separated from our Father, who took it upon Himself to make sure we did not have to stay that way - HOW PRIVILEGED ARE WE!?
Father God, thank You! Thank You for loving us, and for giving us these friends who make Friends Church a family. We have hope because of Jesus and the many who faithfully labor ed throughout the decades to make sure those of us coming behind them would know You! I ask You to fill us with the knowledge of Your will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding so that we walk worthy of Jesus. We ask, also, that You would work in us to bear fruit with power from Your glorious might for all endurance and patience with joy. Thank You for giving us an inheritance with all the saints, delivering us from darkness, forgiving our sins, and transferring us to Your Kingdom by the precious sacrifice of Jesus. Amen.
See you Sunday,
~ Amy & Your Friends Church Staff Team
